TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up
DA EVEN NEWER ROOLZ
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted. As a courtesy to the majority of fwfrs, you may only post a link that uses the http://www.fwfr.com domain name.
Each week's TA:MOU will be removed when a new one takes its place. This is to deter re-visiting of expired threads. Yours truly Da Management
ON THIS DAY in 1873 the very beautiful Albert Bridge, spanning the River Thames, was opened for foot and carriage traffic, though it needed several more years of engineering work to maintain stability.
Don't we all!
Wikipedia has quite an interesting entry for the bridge.
But today's constructive TA:MOU challenge isn't about dear Albert, but rather to find fwfrs for films whose main plot concerns bridges. Let's stick to the material kind and leave metaphors for a future challenge.
Get building!

Not bad for a TA:MOU noob, Larry!
Actually, a good start is to enter a keyword into the imdb search - it can be very helpful. Also search Titles for the chosen word or phrase. And sometimes, I just google the word/phrase adding "films about" Then, of course, there's the foolproof way - wait for lemmy to go first and ... uhm ... borrow his choices!
Life is so cruel.
BTW - this week I've go a lovely list, just waiting for the MERPs to approve a few remaining bridgey fwfrs.

Yeah, I tried the IMDB keyword thing. I got a bunch of films I had seen but couldn't remember anything about a bridge. Then I remembered, "Oh, yeah... they shared their first kiss there for about ten seconds" or something similar. I didn't think that was the kind of thing you were looking for. |
