I first became aware of Cliff Robertson when he played a lesser-known Batman villain by the name of "Shame" (he was a cowboy outlaw, a play on "Shane," complete with, as I recall, a kid calling out "Shame, come back!"). I have, of course, seen more praiseworthy examples of his work since then, but in my heart he'll always be Shame.
