Posted - 05/11/2006 : 01:37:27 Cheers Damalc, I see you have taken up temporary residence on top of our host - way to go! I am chuffed that a glut of pendings have been shifted, most of them filed in the point scoring category. Whippersnaps, if this rate of reviewing keeps up then my new thread may be superfluous. I'm not submitting any new uns today as a thankyou to the hard-working review team. |

I can't keep up ..... I'm drowning in approved or rejected reviews.!!! See what you've started!!!
Arch Stanton should be BURIED in reviews, not drowning in them. |

Having had the pleasure of meeting Em, I can assure everyone that she is imaginative (if you need further proof look at her reviews). As for thieving? Nonsense. Look at all the votes she has given over the last few days.
You're sweet, lem.
EM :)
I think it's his way of asking for more.
And it won't work any better for me than it did for Oliver!
You're still on my list and I'm working towards your name, lem. Hang in there.

Mmm just read this thread after a brief moanette about backlog on the Duplicates thread. I hadn't had any response to my questions about delays but I can appreciate the scale of it now and will wait in line. What bugs me more at the moment is the number of declines I get with no explanation. Perhaps more categories of 'Reason for Decline' are needed?
The best way for us to help you with your reviews is to post the declined review(s) and we'll make suggestions. We love it as it makes us feel superior. I'd suggest you put it on a new thread.
but in the meantime, willy, have some votes. |

Apologies to those who have been here long enough to understand all the ins and outs, I don't want to raise subjects which are covered in threads elsewhere - will do my best to read across the board.
Is there a thread which discusses the idea of limiting the daily quota or reviews submitted per person? That is one solution to the growing number of reviews coming in if sufficient proficient MERPS are not forthcoming. Extra review 'credits' could be given on a reward basis. I would rather we were able to submit unlimited reviews but this would have us sending the cream of ideas with spares held over for those blank mind days.
D*****s & Wa*kers Crisps
Look at and memorise these snacks, then avoid them like the plague. Spit at the very hearing of their names for they are no longer the friendly snacks you once knew. http://walkers.corpex.com/cr15p5/productshome.asp Wa*kers have systematically bought up all the competition in UK, choosing just one or two of each company's product range.
I trained as a graphic designer aka commercial artist or art prostitute. From my experience it is often the client who requests that someone else's idea is ripped off and on a tight budget too. I would rather sell my soul for rock'n'roll than share in the wealth of unethical companies. Another common trick is for clients to pay as little as possible for original ideas, say they have cashflow problems, then pull the plug and get an in-house or second rate designer to finish the job.
Are these meant to be lucky? I'll have another one then. |
