Posted - 02/15/2007 : 20:02:18 I now have 296 pending reviews. While I don't want to overfreight the MERPS, I fear that letting my review languish would be suicidal, as so many brilliant competitors are out there to capture an idea. Submitting a review is the only way to assure patent registration. For all I know, 296 is a typical number. What is the high point of pending reviews that you have had?

Oh, O.K. -- that was the most plausible explanation anyway, but when I read it I for some reason thought that you were the same person as Catuli! |

I didn't imagine that any regular reviewer was still unaware of that. It's been many years that we have been able to add films, and it has been mentioned and alluded to a lot, e.g. in terms of there being too many unreviewed films on the site.
But I'm even more surprised by this:

Are you Canklefetish or Catuli?! (Or did you just think that BaftaBabe was Catuli since he or she started this thread?)
Yep, I had Catuli on the brain since the thread was originated by him/her
And, I was unaware that we could simply add films to the database. I don't spend much time on the fourum, so I must have missed the numerous posts on this particular subject |

My pending pile stays rather low, but my new reviews, those submissions that are not in the database already, sit in my pile and stagnate for months and months and months and....
Hi Cankie
You can add new films yourself which are instantly then on the fwfr db, so I'm not sure which pile is stagnating.
If you want to add a film, copy the url from its homepage on the imdb. Then paste it into the fwfr Search box. You will get a message that fwfr can't find it, but you'll also see a box at the left-hand side of the page. Add your review of the film and submit.
You can check that it's been accepted by going to the fwfr New Films page. You should see it there along with your name as the person who added it.
Or did you mean something else?
No, that's exactly what I meant, but had no idea that the option was available to me. I guess that explains why the 'new submissions' page is dominated by the same reviewers, while I've been naively waiting for the approval of others. (story of my life)
Thanks, Catuli Baffy |

Not much unfortunately. :)
Aah yes, it is all for all grown-ups here, those who can involve themself into a rich, complex, uncensored way of conversing.... and cutting the cheese. |

No, the cut-off is 00:00 at the end of Sunday.
If I may, allow me to quote lemmycaution regarding a query about the 20-review limit issue that I found on another topic thread:
"You're right, it is new. Here is the thread where benj introduced the cap:

Um, yes, that's where I got the information from. |

EDIT: I know, I know, I just think it sucks. |

Oh, and thanks for the votes
Well, look at that! Benj has entered the classroom! Very cool!
What school, and for what year of studies?
i've thought about recommending this site to an old journalism teacher of mine who i've kept in touch with sporadically. writing fwfrs similar to headline writing and is an exercise in brevity and word selection. |
