I'm sure all of you have written a review in the full knowledge that it was destined to be accepted and hailed to the hilt. Such was the case when I wrote a review for "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing." My review was "Wool-f?" I thought the "Wool" caught the appearance of a sheep and the added "f" forming "Wool-f" conveyed that it was really a Wolf. The question mark was applied to indicate the mystery and disguise element. Obviously the MERPS disagreed, declining the review with no cited reason.

I welcome whatever thoughts you may have as to why the review was declined. I promise to be an attentive listener.

Sludge and TitanPa...thanks.

Love it! good job.

We've seen (and, I should say, thrown) far greater tantrums for far worse reviews.
Catuli Posted - 05/10/2007 : 13:24:57
"Wool-f?" just got approved. I almost feel guilty, like a spoiled brat who got rewarded after throwing a tantrum. The key word in that previous sentence is "almost." Thanks for you feedback all.

I even think it would be OK as "Woolf."

Yup, this is the best form. It's really frustrating when people hit on a good pun and mess it up by adding needless punctuation or words. (The only problem with this is that it could refer to Virginia Woolf.)
Since the loosening up of the generic rule that shouldn't be a problem.

This didn't need to be a new thread, though. Why couldn't the query be included in one of the many previous ones?

I even think it would be OK as "Woolf." What else could it mean?
Downtown Posted - 05/10/2007 : 02:05:16
Yeah, that's a headscratcher. Can't say I see a thing wrong with it.
Catuli Posted - 05/09/2007 : 23:58:43
Wow, thanks for the encouragement gang, I'll resubmit it and state that there's a groundswell of support, although I won't embarrass anyone by citing names. Don't worry Whipper, I only aspire to having the second best entry for that movie.

redPen Posted - 05/09/2007 : 23:28:36
I love it! I vote "resubmit" as well. In case it gets kicked back again, try reformatting it. Try:

Wool(f?)
Wo(o)l(f)?
Wool wolf

etc, etc.

I think your original is great. Unfortunately, I don't get to say "yea" or "nay," and sometimes, if a beloved review just can't get through, you have to "bastardize" it a bit to sneak it in.

Good luck!
Sean Posted - 05/09/2007 : 23:15:13
Looks fine to me. Try a resub.
Tori Posted - 05/09/2007 : 22:08:22
I love it. I'd resub.

OK, now seriously, there's nothing wrong with your review. Resubmit it. Just make sure it doesn't get more votes than my review, OK?
