Apologies for being a day late posting this: had to have a tooth extracted yesterday and not thinking clearly

DA ROOLZ
1. Look at the top-rank of your SECOND PAGE. Pick ONE film you think deserves to be on your first page - as sorted by votes received.

2. Isolate that film* and present the link in this thread WITH ...

3. AN EXPLANATION OF WHY YOU LIKE IT.

Who knows, your wish may come true

* It's been covered before how to do this, but here's a step-by-step recap:
1. Go to the page featuring everyone's reviews of your chosen film.
EITHER
2. From the drop-down display options choose My Reviews Only.

OR
2. Select Reviewer Name for the page display.
3. Find your own review and count which number it is on the page.
4. Up at the top url display you'll see something like this:
http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?sort=2&dir=2&id=1698&Mode=&Rows=1&Start=11
5. See where it says Start=11 ... change that numeral to whatever you counted in step 3, and press go.
6. Your new page should now start with your chosen review.
7. NOW, to eliminate all the other reviews still showing, go up to the url display again and see where it says Rows=100.
8. Change that to Rows=1

3. Your new page should now have only your chosen review displayed. Copy that url and use it as your link for this thread.

HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!

lemmy, I LOVE Outland. I'm kind of an space geek anyway, and that happens to be one of the first films I ever videotaped, back when machines cost $1500 and a tape cost $25.

I was just wondering why you were quoting Lear at me when I realised I had put Cordelia instead of Orphelia! Sorry! Got my elias mixed up there.

And there I was, all primed and ready to trot out my comment about what the demon did to Cordelia on Angel....

A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

I like this one because it plays with a well-known expression. Cusack's character does not mind his own business, exploits the portal leading to Malkovich's mind for profit, and becomes obsessed to the point that only business (concern) is possessing and manipulating Malkovich from within.

Edmund's fine with me. It's always that tricky choice between Edmund and Edgar. Edmund has more fun, but Edgar wins the sword fight. Either that or play the Fool and be in the bar an hour before everyone else...

I'll stick to Cordelophelia (in a wig). Sounds like some horrible disease.

You are too young to play Lear, but I'm going to cast you as Edmund, OK?

I like it for the two implied meanings either side of the comma.

Nice one Actually I'd already voted on both yours ... but it's good to see them out in the fresh air again.

It's a little further down my second page, but I love this review. It's my favourite sort of review I think - taking a common phrase and simply applying it. It's starkly appropriate given the content of the film, so much so that I jumped for joy when I found no one else had thought of it yet.

Hmm ... that really isn't the idea of this thread. It's meant to showcase a FWFR which with even one more vote will move up to your first page. Unless you only have one page. Which you don't!

How's about you pick again?!

Apologies. I thought we were just supplying a review from our second page that we felt belonged on our first - there are only up to five votes between my first and my whole second page so I figured that would be alright... but I'll offer this one instead!

I'd be careful about offending Demonic if I were you - remember what happened to Cordelia?

The one about my least favourite actor here. I just like the words being completely different to what they're punning on.

Please could people also see my review in the previous round, which was supposed to continue for another day when I posted? Thanks.

Of course you can! but to keep in the spirit of the thread ... it should probably be the one with the second highest number of votes.

What's Circuit City?

Circuit City is one of the big chains of electronics superstores in the US. Walls of televisions, etc.

Nice. Another one voted on!
