Posted - 08/05/2007 : 09:40:02 I just hit the wall! [grumble] Is this a new thing (I have noticed it's been taking AGES to get anything approved) or has there always been a 20 reviews a week limit? |

Thanks JTC ... and Sal, too! BTW, thanks to Sal for posting the link to the original thread discussing the 20 cap!

OK ... as a public service, I have just put a new thread under the Other section of FAQs.
Oh, it hadn't occurred to me that we could add threads there. Thank you. |

Oh yeah, and I think a 20 review limit per week is fine. I had expected to find this info in the FAQ.
Yep, I agree that it ought to be explained there, as in fact I said at the time. Through no fault of their own, at least three different F.W.F.R.ers have posted threads asking this question.

I hope this helps.

Benj put in the 20 reviews a week as a temporary rule. I'm guessing it's because he's off for three months travelling around the world and won't be spending much time near a computer.
Nope, it wasn't because of that. It was because of the general backlog. |

I just had my first approval today in about a week, so there must be some MERPs out there who are working instead of enjoying the summer...
Benj should recruit some MERPs from below the 26th parallel - still winter here - brrrrrr |

I had no idea there was a 20 review limit since I have never bumped into it before. That why I asked. Useful to know that I can start a new week today :)

Read and all should be revealed....hopefully.

The MERPs do this for fun, they don't get paid, Benj is away having / enjoying life, and of course there is also the small point that all of this is free!!
Why do we do this complain and question what is not particulary unusual or unacceptable.
I accept that the thread did not start with a complaint merely a question, but this sort of thing always seems to get to complaints, 'I haven't had a approved in .....' get over it and accept that at times things are not as fast as you hope!
Just enjoy the site and be patient.

Hey Josh,
Dont even ask. The dust has just settled. You don't want to stir up things again. There have been threads, but they ended up among the missing. You missed out on all the drama. It's better not to know. |

I too have noticed that 2nd pass reviews also sit untouched for a VERY long time (3-4 months). It would have to be because 1st pass review take precedance over them. I now rephrase them, pop an explanation on them and submit them anew. I give many of my reviews a little explanation/justification to avoid getting passed over in the first place. It's not that I'm obscure but I don't expect every MERP to have seen every film or noticed a particular nuance, piece of trivia being referred to in my review.
