Posted - 09/28/2007 : 16:56:44 Every so often I notice a film for which all of my reviews are higher voted than all of the others.
Just out of interest, post films here for which this is the case for you (where you have at least two reviews, there is at least one other review and each of your reviews has at least one more vote than any by anyone else). Post the link for all of the film's reviews ordered by votes, so that we can also see what the other reviews are like. (This thread is most likely to lose us this status for films, but that is fine by me: reviews which deserve votes should get them.) |

In that case [sorry CL], much as I love 'em, I think some of Chokkie's may require attention.
Apart from The Lion in Winter, I think they were all valid when posted.
Apologies ... must have checked after you/someone voted. Sorry, CL! My bad.
Still, not all of them qualify any more, so I took those off.

Unfortunately a bad line break lessens the impact of the first of these. |

C.L. and B.B., please would you mind deleting your struck-through ones. (My struck-through ones are ones that have lost the relevant status since I posted them.) I'll then delete my consequent posts.
Done!

So - all your multiples have to be at the top ... is that right?
Yes.
Ah, thanks. In that case [sorry CL], much as I love 'em, I think some of Chokkie's may require attention.

Unless two people have voted on noncentz's very quickly, this one doesn't count.
Oh, I thought you meant that if you had 2 or more of the highest voted reviews before someone else has a review, that counts. So - all your multiples have to be at the top ... is that right?

Whew! A lot more than I thought!
Yep, easily the most so far.
Well, I do review lots of films that few others bother to review, and then I always try to put my zero voted reviews up for FYC. I think that helps.

I get the tribute aspect of the second one, but could you please explain it to me in terms of the film (or this guy - I don't know anything about him)?
John Diefenbaker was Canadian Prime Minister from 1957-1963. After his party was beaten and the Liberals won back-to-back minority governments, a leadership review was held in Dief's party. He fully expected to win support in the review and was baffled when he got less than 50% support.
Other fixes made. |
