Emma, the matriarch of a rich Italian family has her life revitalised by an illicit affair in "I Am Love".
In "Mother" the title character attempts to discover the truth behind the murder charge her son faces with increasingly desperate results.
In "Uncle Boonmee" the title character's lost son returns transformed into a monkey creature.
