A majority (i.e., 3 out of 5) of the posted reviews for Flowers in the Attic make reference to the incestuous relationship between the two main characters that drives the novel.
However, the filmmakers unwisely elected to remove that plot point from the film entirely, making these reviews unfortunately inaccurate.
Note: I don't think Gentleman Ghost's review is inaccurate under these circumstances, since the other case of incest mentioned in the book was kept in the film.
While they weren't incestuous in the movie, there were little hints at attraction and such. Maybe that will save some reviews? |

Since we are talking about books. I saw Five People You Meet in Heaven the other day. The Tv movie. In the book he gets killed by a coaster...
Still, its worth the risk to avoid getting ring marks on tables or tablecloths, don't you think?

True, but I didn't really get any sexual vibes from any of their interactions. I mean, he just washed her back. That's not necessarily sexual.
Still, if the powers that be decide it's close enough, I'm cool with that.

You didn't get anything sexual from the whole bathroom scene? |

Well, I suppose I might, once I factor in that it appears in an American film. I think if it appeared in a European or Japanese film, say, it wouldn't be intended or interpreted as particularly sexual.
In other words, maybe my head's on the wrong continent entirely. |

For Breakfast At Tifffany's, Veloc has "Rooney: Racist Chinese caricature!"
Rooney's character is Japanese, as his name is Yunoshi.

Doesn't the review "Arnold avenges parent's death." under Conan The Destroyer really go with Conan The Barbarian? |

Um... yes, I do watch this thread. But I'm a bit disappointed that the inaccurate (or should I say WRONG) review I noticed is still up there. The movie White Christmas is NOT 'Holiday Inn' in Technicolor! |

Well, it would be quite racist to give a Chinese character a Japanese name, and in those days, I wouldn't be surprised.

Yes, and George Washington did NOT sing in 1776!

The voice of Conan thunders "Swap the review to the correct film!"
That felt good. |

Eh, more so is two words, dude, making it a five word film review.
I only hope Anonymous won't bear a grudge about it... |
