It's actually Wed, 11/27, same as Jimi Hendrix, but thanks anyhow.
What *I'm* celebrating is Monday's rockin' six-week post-op with my surgeon, who took me off Coumadin; let me ditch the pillows, cushions and funky toilet seat; OKed me to fly, drive, etc.; let me finally pick stuff up off the floor w/o The Grabber as long as I do it right; let me go back to the gym, as long as I take it slow; and much more. I donated the walker to my apt building and am keeping only the cane, even though I don't need it either: people get out of your way on a NYC sidewalk if they see you with a cane. But thanx, Sensei, for your concern, which has hipped me to satori, which has shown me the Tao of my hip.
P.S. This is what happens when you do everything the physical therapist says! |
