Doh!  It must have been 30 years since I last saw one. (A Jack-in-the-box, that is! ) Did you resub it? It might make it if you include an explanation that the "jack" is actually a clown. |

Well the review process isn't perfect, but it keeps us from having to read a lot of junk. Alot of my reviews are word plays that the person on the other doesn't understand, so they get declined -- even when I resubmit with an explanation. Two examples are:
Brokeback Mountain- Ranch hand jobs.
I thought that was particularly clever and much, much better than the one they accepted (Dances with Fags), but it's a matter of opinion I supppose.
Another disappointing decline for me was for a film called Black to the Future, which I reviewed with one word: past-sploitation. There's no way to improve upon that one, so I hung my head in the rain and let the pain wash over me.

Broke back mountain-skiing.
it was rejected w/o explanation and 'Brokeneck Mountain' is there now. perhaps mine is not accurate. neck rather than back. |

"2000: A Race Oydessy" (Death Race 2000)
I thought this was a great pun on 2001: A Space Oydessy. Still don't know why it was turned down. I even submitted it with an explanation.
