Well, thanks for nothing then. |

I keep forgetting to check the Fourum on FYC days - by the time I've seen it it's always three pages long and all the voting is probably done - I intend to make #190 my first. Anyway, slightly embarrassing admission, I've only just worked out what the "cons" button was for on my reviews...
Nothing wrong with being on the third page. i think most voters take a second or even third look. I do.
Yep, same here. I have a habit of doing the rounds a couple of days in, i.e., I do the voting on Wednesday and Saturday or thereabouts. I don't see any advantage in being on Page 1, although obviously someone who enters a few hours before the end of a round is at a disadvantage. |

I generally check on the last night before I head off to bed, and again the next morning once I have entered the next round so I do get any extreme late entries.
I like to be on the first page, I don't know why but I do. Generally I forget if I don't do things in the set order that I have, so if I don't enter I forget, the problems with getting old I suppose .
I will try to remember not to enter before work and hope that I have time and access at work, just for our lovely Sal, as it means so much!

Yeah, this began about 6 months or so ago, when we had a round or two with lots of entries, but many seemed to think (me included) that there wasn't a lot of voting going on, i.e., it 'appeared' that perhaps some were posting but 'forgot' to get around to voting.
Hopefully this wasn't the case, but if it was, and became the norm then FYCTH was dead in the water. So, to avoid this horrendous situation arising many got in the habit of posting V&V to let it be known that they have in fact done their duty to fwfrology.
I've always done the full rounds, every round, and we'll take you at your word that you always have and always will.
Oh allright, I confess, a few months ago I entered and didn't do the voting. I had posted on Thursday, went away for the weekend, was planning to be back on Sunday night, but there was a storm and we weren't able to get home 'til Monday (no roads, sea-access only), and with no electricity or phone, I couldn't do the voting rounds. But after months of intensive psychotherapy to cure me of my nightmares and stop me from waking up screaming with horrifying visions of everyone's "Vote" buttons out to get me, I'm allright now. Almost. |

Sal,
Maybe if you told us why it meant so much to you people would be more willing to step aside... |

Nah, that would be no fun. Besides, this is a very tiny favour, so in all honesty people should be happy to grant it without knowing the reason.
On a previous installment of the same occasion, I stayed up all night in order to be the one to start the round, and someone had to go and start it early, something that some people insisted on doing in those days.

Vamos a ver...
Yukon, nice to know you've ditched bestiality. You're doing the right thing kid.
Choco, hate matzos? Must be crackers! Of course I never buy them until after Passover, I get better discounts that way. And Baffy, peanut butter on matzos? I need a glass of water just thinking about it.
Dhannah - loved your "Fatal Glass of Beer" review, and even voted for it, but a couple of months back several reviews for the film were deleted because, apparently, no-one actually dies. So, as well as voting for the review, I've suggested it might be deleted. ///
I say we indulge Sal this once, but Sal, it better be good!
Thank you all for your votes, however sparing , and goodnight .
