Second page already?
Heres a review with lots of tasteless potential... We Are... Marshall is the true story of the Marshall University football team virtually the entire squad and coaching staff died in a plane crash in November of 1970. I submitted several tasteless reviews, and posted my favorite in the FYC.
Also, Im proud to have written my first cross-cultural review. My Mrs. Doubtfire review will easily make sense to all the Brits and draw blanks from the North Americans. I was inspired by a topic in a thread a few weeks ago that reminded my that British slang for a woman is Bird.

More fluff on Page 2
The Deliverance review is a play on the movie "Playing Beattie Bow" Yahoo Serious is an egg farmer in "Mr Accident" (at least I think he did; tried to Eternally Sunshine this movie from my mind).

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
You might have to read my Collateral review aloud.
Helpful history for my latest on Bambi Meets Godzilla.
All zeroes. Enjoy. |

Four newbies I thought were relatively clever, and one perplexing oldie.
Some comments:
Das Boot: Quite possibly my favorite out of the fwfr's I've written so far. What exactly am I saying with this one?
Well, MOrk darling, perhaps that's because it's almost EXACTLY like mine for Yellow Submarine, posted nearly a month before yours!!!!
I guess there is nothing new under the sun. My apologies for the accidental theft. However, I think the joke works slightly better in mine, partially because its position in the fwfr makes it more interpretable as a single word adjective, and I would argue Das Boot is more of a standard among submarine films than Yellow Submarine.
Still, I've paid my respects and voted for the predecessor.

1. I forgive you! 2. I think your FWFRs are [mostly ] excellent and you've received more than several voties from me. 3. Thanks for the vote. 4. My wording was more aimed at the fact that I thought the Beatles' film was less than it might have been.
But I'll go sailing with you anytime, hon.

I had a very similar review rejected for K19- The Widowmaker. "Standard sub-standard sub fare."
But when you think of it, are there any films where everything goes well on a sub? Grey Lady Down, Red October, Crimson Tide, 20,000 Leagues (any version), heck even Periscope Down. |
