I am totally mortified to find all my posts gone and all that has ensued. Please accept my apologies. This wasn't me I can assure you.
As you know I've been getting about zilch sleep caring for the tiny hedgehogs and trying to finish a website for a client, so this weekend a friend came down from London to help a bit. Some help! Since he's a film fan I was showing him FWFR and how it works. I said I wanted to change my avatar back to the baby onto which I'd grafted some film stock. While I went to feed the babies I asked him to post it up for me.
When I woke up this morning for the early feed at 4:30 I checked my eMails and found several messages which alerted me something was wrong. YIKES! The culprit has admitted what he's done and needless to say he is now locked out of my 'puter.
PLEASE PLEASE know that I feel terrible about this. I've been having such fun here, and it's such a great mental vacation for the stuff I'm now involved in. I gather from some of the replies that he posted something offensive, and I can only apologise again. I'd never mean to offend anyone here. Kill yes, offend no
I can't promise to reconstitute all the lost posts, but I'll do me best, time permitting. Oh, no! I just realised he deleted all those punny titles in the games section. Grrrr
And, just a quick note to Shoon -- I hope people here will agree that my former posts were never moans, merely me trying to understand the mysterious minds of the MERPs, and to discuss ways to help newbies on this site that's become one of my fav online oases.
Sorry for rambling -- haven't been getting much sleep lately.
Hugs to you all - even those of you who diss me

Sorry to hear this, but in truth, no harm done - as long as he didn't delete all your accepted reviews.
By the way, your statistics are gone and your FYC is empty, so if you can remember what you had in this past round, you might want to put them up again.
(If he had deleted your accepted reviews - especially the ones with good votes - that would have been truly tragic!)

With friends like that...
Mind you, I remember being really tempted many years ago to send a message or two from my then boss's computer. You know, something along the lines of 'show us your knickers' to one of the girls in the office. Fortunately I realised even then that it would have been daft. The idea of going on to a friend's account on one of their favourite websites and deleting a load of stuff is beyond my comprehension.
Yours, Someone using Koli's computer, possibly himself. |

What's considered funny changes with the times, too. When I was in college, I had a job working as a student staff artist in an audiovisual production department. Stuff my boss thought was funny then would get a guy thrown out on sexual harassment charges now.
I'm relieved, Baftababe, to know the whole story. And yes, it is a very good thing that your friend didn't delete your reviews. THAT would have been a hanging offense! |

Many thanks to you, duh, and Chokkie and everyone who has offered support and a tear-proof shoulder! Apparently the guy thought he was doing me a favor -- don't ask, as my grandma used to say
I'm glad to be back on board and when I get some time, and sleep!, I'll try to rectify whatever I can. That may be awhile, so though I'll check in I probably won't be posting all that much. Much to the relief of some, I'm sure
