Okay, so I've been a bit sloppy keeping up with site maintenance and I've figured out a way to make it a little easier for everyone...
If you take a look on any page with reviews, you'll notice each review now has Report listed below it (just next to the vote stat). Clicking on this will offer you a screen to report a review as being a dupe, against the wrong film, etc... without needing to post here. For the record, the process will still be the same- I still go through them and decide if the problem is one that needs addressing or not, I just have a handy-dandy on-stop screen for doing this now.
As you may realise, more info will be needed for flagging dupes (a second review) and reviews assigned to the wrong film (the correct film), so I've also put in mechanisms for selecting these also- a pop-up film selection screen for the latter, and a return to the original film page whereby you once again click on Report below the dupe review for the former.
Hope this all makes sense
BTW, this doesn't mean I won't be going through the outstanding stuff listed in this fourum, I'm just saying try to use the Report function from now on and it should speed the process along some.
Cheers muchly, benj. |

Does that mean you don't want us to use the feature for something that's already mentioned on the fourum?
Great idea, btw. |

I like the concept, but when I tried it, the "Submit" button wouldn't work. |

Email me with what you were trying to submit and I'll see if I can recreate. |

Excellent work Benj.
Edit: I just noticed looking at my own reviews that the Report option is added there too - but it's probably not needed on our own work, right? We have the edit button to amend or delete our reviews rather than report ourselves. |

Hey benj
I tried to submit a 'duplicate' report to test it out - but it rejects and says I need to identify the duplicate film.
I had done that in the text box already, but it seems to want me to actually flag both films together. No idea how I would do that, though ....
Edit: Tried to report a generic too, but nothing happens when I click 'submit' I either submitted it 10 times (but was getting no response) or I can't submit it |

Yeah, I found the same thing when I was choosing my reviews for the FYCTH. It became a little untidy with the "Edit," "Cons," and "Report" options under each review. |

Exactly.
I clicked 'report' under the duplicate review selected 'This review is very similar or identical to another review against this film' gave an expanation in the box provided clicked 'submit' got an error message saying 'Please select a duplicate review' except I don't see any option to select a duplicate review |

People quite often ask Benj to correct their spelling errors etc. instead of resubmitting the whole review. And people do also sometimes highlight their own reviews as possibly duplicate or generic, myself included. Odd cases like this could still be done in the Fourum, though.
Great idea, Benj. |

Benj, when one hovers over 'Report', I think a box should pop up briefly saying what it is for. It will be confusing for most non-Fourumites and many will not want to click on it to see what it is, in case they automatically submit something. |

I have just tried the same and clicked on 'Select', but what does one do then? Click on 'Report' under the innocent review too? |
