I just saw this movie today and regardless of blond or dark haired, real or wires, the chase scene at the start was awesome.
I liked the movie. I think I would have played better poker than Bond.
Statistically this is impossible. In movies, unrealistically high hands are played. For instance, the hand which was the 'bluff' was two pairs, a good hand in poker (and it turned out to be a Full house).
Two pair is not a good hand when the Flop shows 3 of the same suit (5H 8H 9H). Bond says that he only lost the hand on the river card, so that means he must have had higher Two pair (Le Chiffre's two pair was the lowest possible, Bond only needed to have any 5 or any 8 in his hole cards to beat Le Chiffre), Trips, Straight or Flush before the River card. A big bet before the River card from Bond would have forced a Fold and won Bond the Pot. Unless Le Chiffre is a dumb arse chaser of any hand. |

I only play Texas Hold'em twice a week. I have a regional Final this Friday evening, the top 8 go into state final. I came 140th (out of 400) in the state final last season. |

I agree it was the only time in the movie that I really gasped...(I may enven have said "Shit" under my breath)
As for the chase at the beginning, the more unbelievable the better. |

For anyone who's not seen the doco on the DVD yet, this stunt set a new world record. I think the previous record was 4 rolls! |
