I haven't decided whether to see it yet, although from a linguistic point of view I think I probably will give in and go. Sorry C.L.

As well as meaning that different people could start the rounds, it would make them the same length. I know that people are quite attached to keeping the F.Y.C.T.H. as it is, but personally I think this would overall be a good and fair idea.

I'm easy... well that's the rumour I started.

I kinda like Salopian's "Bean away anywhere Nice?" review, but the "away" is redundant, and steals away from the pun, and thus, the funny. "Bean Anywhere Nice?" would not only get the point of the film across (something that Salopian is a stickler for, and something I find totally bizarre), but it would be much more amusing. Just saying.

Nah, because it's meant to be playing on the kind of question that people, especially hairdressers, ask in the summer. "Have you been anywhere nice?" implies "Have you (ever) gone to any nice place?" whereas "Have you been away anywhere nice?" implies "Have you (recently) had a nice holiday anywhere?"

Yeah, I got that. In which case "Bean anywhere Nice lately?" is a better pun. It's a minor point, mind.

Nope, that would be closer to the standard expression, but a worse pun because it does not refer to the actual situation so well: in the film, Mr. Bean has not been away lately - he's away now.

Hey, you do what you like, my friend. I'm not stopping anyone from seeing this film. I'm just never going to go to any of his films again, nor will I ever buy or rent a DVD with him in it, or watch them on television. But that's just me.

I suppose so. But then again, you and I differ when it comes to the most basic raison d'etre. I'm all for the funny, you prefer accuracy, instead. All good.
