This brings up a good point though. At least half of the reviews for Psycho contain one of the following spoilers: that (1) [CHARACTER'S NAME] is the killer or that (2) [ANOTHER CHARACTER'S NAME] gets killed. Both spoilers are very well known even to people who have not seen the film.
And about 25% of the reviews for The Empire Strikes Back contain the key spoiler ([CHARACTER'S NAME] is [ANOTHER CHARACTER'S NAME] [RELATIONSHIP TO THE OTHER CHARACTER]) that by now everyone knows whether or not they saw Empire Strikes Back if for no other reason than because the second trilogy is explicitly about that spoiler.
And about 99% of the reviews for The Crying Game are explicitly about the key spoiler for that film ([CHARACTER'S NAME] is really a [DISTINCTION]). |

And yet we can't be too generic, can we? |

I think that anyone who doesn't want a spoiler for a particular movie simply needs to avoid the relevant movie page. I avoid movie pages for movies I haven't yet seen for that reason. As Conan suggests, making reviews less specific to avoid spoilers makes them more generic. |

Riiiight. Just for fun, the people in line were spitting out spoilers that most everybody should know by now. The transgressor, however, had spoiled a brand new movie. Bet she never does that again... |

I certainly do this, but that doesn't apply to the F.Y.C.T.H., which is the topic of this thread. |

True enough as there is a contractual obligation to visit the reviews offered. I'm OK with the idea of a spoiler alert (since I was the main offender anyway). Has anybody seen the kkkkonan kkkkills kkkkute kkkkanines! thread? [Conan slowly sidles out of the line of fire while whistling innocently.] |
