I think I took to 40, so I'm very glad. Very worthy review!

Thanks buddy, some love sent your way. Love the avatar by the way - 'The Killing Joke' is my favourite ever comic. That said, I haven't read The Watchmen or The Return of the Dark Knight. Both are sitting in my Amazon basket waiting for me to get drunk and splurge out.

Nope, not me. I Hammered it the moment I saw it, long ago.

I, too, love The Killing Joke. Dark Knight Returns is very good until the last quarter when it becomes your typical ultra-violent Frank Miller wankfest. I have never read The Watchmen, either.

I like my Blade Runner review; it's the first one in the third row, if you are listing the review by votes. Here.

Had already voted for it, and for B.B.'s.

Boys, boys!! Will you just go and read "The Watchmen" immediately? There's no finer work in the comics medium. Actually, hurry up before Zach Snyder's film utterly ruins it for all time.

"Dark Knight returns" is very special I think. Wankfest aside (I've never really seen it that way - not like the lame sequel which is pure action and no story whatsoever), I think the end is incredibly moving. A truly definite Batman story, and one that roundly dumps on Superman, so even better.

What's with Frank Miller's weird obsession with Freemasonry? I'm just curious.

Does he? I'm trying to think of any reference at all to the Masons in any of the Miller I've read. Do you mean Alan Moore?

I won't post links as I'm not vote-vamping, just pointing out how seriously under-appreciated I am. These all have 0 votes or just the 1.

Winchester 73 - Stewart's prize taken, repeatedly
Stewart wins the rifle, it's stolen and as he gives chase, it keeps changing hands. The Winchester is of course a repeating rifle

The Wild - Saving Pride-cub Ryan
Ryan is a lion cub, dad goes in search to rescues him

Wind In The Willows (1987) - A Wind That Blows
This version really is horrible and utterly charmless

Football Factory - Laddies sing the blues
It follows a bunch of young men, football hooligans, who are Chelsea supporters, aka The Blues.

Mondovino - America's war on Terroir
It's about the power of the US wine houses and their attack on smaller producers worldwide. Small French vinyards particularly, cherish their link to the land, the Terroir.

Sodom And Gomorrah (1962)- Bending to Sodomites discouraged
Lot (Granger) actually tells his fellow Hebrews 'do not bend to the Sodomites' ok so I've a mental age of 12 but it made me laugh

Well, I also agree. But then, I know the story of the film.

I also think my top seated Holiday Inn review could have gotten more votes, if people remembered that "to arrange" is also a musical term.

I'd vote for all of those, but I'm not going to go to the trouble of seeking them all out.
