Meh. If it'll help, then what's the harm? People can always write down their extra reviews anyway. |

There's actually no need to even do that. They can just be stored in one's rejected list if one prefers. For people who use different computers, this may be the simplest way. |

Slow and steady ? 10-15 per day is slow and steady
Holy crap
My only problem with 20 submissions per week is how I'm going to up my output to make that level |

Benj, unless I hear otherwise, I am going to assume that one can submit a review twice on top of any auto-rejections for being over the weekly limit. This seems reasonably to me since an auto-reject does not involve anyone's time or effort (aside from what you have already put in on a general programming basis). |

Here here - after less than 4 months on the site that's the opinion I have come to.
Why are people who already have have hundreds, and in some cases thousands, of reviews so pissed off? There are some people on this site who write really awesome reviews - right through from top to bottom. But some of the top reviewers (as in quantity) also have some ordinary stuff out there which is simply keeping them at the top of the lists. It's a different set of people at the top of the 'average votes per review' list. BiggerBoat has 140 reviews on the site and he's up there with an average of 22 votes average per film. That's something to match in my view.
Lots of fwfrers (including me) have posted in the last few months about the delays in approvals. Well, the solution has come and that's good. |

Um... not sure what you mean. Certainly, you can continue submitting reviews once you hit the limit, they'll just automatically be declined. Not sure if this is what you're asking though |

Okay, I'm asking something. Can I leave my submissions that are over the limit in my declined pile and just resubmit them when the new week starts, or must I delete them from the decline pile and then submit later? |

Yep, that's the basic idea. If the number of reviews submitted since Monday at 00:00 GMT is less than 20 then *any* reviews- new or previously declined, can be added to your pending list.
If the cap was planned as anything but a temporary measure, I might even consider adding some sort of 'drawing board' list where reviews declined for this reason would be added, but for now the declined list fills this role. |

No, that's not what I'm talking about. The auto-decline on the basis of exceeding one's quota will be decline no. 1. What I am saying is that I am going to assume that if the review gets another decline when resubmitted, i.e. decline no. 2 but its first proper decline, then it's fine to submit it again. Normally, one would not be allowed to submit for a third time. |

Think the new policy is great - I've had more reviews accepted this week than in a long time - mind you its only 4 or 5, but it's an improvemnt likely linked to a wee bit of slack in the system - I never clogged the system to the tune of several hundred a week - maybe in a year if I am lucky - but I go about business as usual and before this week had 7 approved all year, so I view this as an improvement and thank Benji for a creative solution to the backlog glut!! |

Thanks Shiv. Quite how you knew that I have no idea, but I think I have a different approach to most on this site. I was never really bothered by accolades or getting a fancier icon, that never seemed like the point to me, I just wanted to come up with the best reviews I could. And I don't particularly like the vote-swapping threads. I could join in and bolster my votes, but it all seems rather exclusive to me.
There used to be a page set up as a user that showed the top average votes and I made Slippy Tin my target having been so impressed by his reviews. I don't have the link to the page any more but I think I was in at about 4th or 5th, behind those people who had very few reviews, but one stonker in the top 100 which sent their average through the roof. I gave up on them after a while. |

Erm... Even if this didn't exist, Shiv could just have seen the same list you mentioned below!

Hhmmm, I wonder who can have come up with that... Benj finally agreed to adding the page, so mine is fairly redundant now - I just keep it because it shows the stonker-holder reviewers (whose mean averages are just as real as anyone else's). |

Wow, I didn't even know this page existed. Was there a launch party? Why wasn't I invited? And how do you get to it (should I want to show off to anyone)? |
