You said it Shiv. Actually, lately these board have become totally ridiculous.
At the same time, the quality of fwfr's is the lowest its ever been in my experience.
Not that witty and clever reviews aren't still being written, but there are so many totally pedestrian or, worse, completely factually incorrect reviews being accepted, submitted for fycth, and voted on. Meanwhile, Salopian makes things even worse by attacking reviews for the most pedantic reasons, while often defending his own reviews against the same pedantic criteria.
I notice some of the great masters of the fwfr genre--like Noncentz--no longer post here. I fear the fwfr Golden, Silver and Bronze Ages are all past, and we skipped the Iron Age to land firmly in the toilet. |

| This has sunk from the needless to the ridiculous and embarrassing. I honestly do not think the last PKMN post was necessary nor invited, and definitely not required to be posted in extra large script so that he can be sure anyone passing through will see it. I remind him that just last week, we were talking to a young man in the forum who was assigned the task of writing and having accepted 10 reviews for a school assignment. He behaved with more dignity and maturity than what I have just read. I join with Shiv and boycott such contributors. |

One of the unfortunate things about sites that have people come and go is that newies to a site have no idea of the history of some of the oldies on the site. E.g., I just knew that PKMN's post was going to be of the explicit nature that it was as a result of some of the previous posts. Check out some of these threads from 2005 for example:-

It's all quite inevitable.... |

I was quite aware that I would in all likelihood be baiting PKMN whem I initially posted, though I thought I would be more likey to reap a personal rant than subject all to another of his soft core fantasies.
