I hope that that is just because your children mean that you do not have much free time/energy at the moment.

Well I rarely have energy because of my chronic health issues, but the friend thing, I really can't grasp why that hasn't happened. People like me and are friendly to me, but we don't go out to dinner with anyone or talk on the phone with friends or anything. We have a lot of acquaintances. Sometimes I think it is because we don't have a lot of money to go out but a lot of it must be that we are younger than most other parents, and other people our age don't have kids. So we don't really fit anywhere.

I'm sorry to hear you have health issues. I didn't know about that. I am sure you are right that having children at a young age leaves you stranded between the typical phases of life. At least you have got your husband and children - and I don't mean that flippantly at all. However good friends are, they do come below children and partners, both of which many people are not lucky enough to have.

Cankle,

To aid you in your penance, here are 850 of my voteless fwfrs.

Just kidding... don't put yourself through it, I can't even get past the first ten without cringing. Some are new, but the majority just suck.

We definitely understand where you're coming from with the frustration of seeing other approvals rocket ahead of yours. I found your particular choices interesting. Tori and Calmer have never come to my mind as low quality reviewers.

Certainly, as illustrated by my bottom 850, there are fwiffers who have historically piled on the junk reviews far beyond those who set you off, but they have since mended their ways. (I think)

It's helpful to keep in mind how much this site does function as a community of volunteers, and the folks are exceedingly polite. I suppose this is countered by the FWFRs, which are an outlet for all kinds of political incorrectness. This is tolerated. Factual inaccuracy and five word reviews are not.

Oh, you are so right. I have an excellent husband and my kids are wonderful. I'm one of those annoying wives/parents who will go on and on about them. LOL Well I want to anyway, but I don't. If I had to choose between friends and family I would choose family, but it would be nice to have both! Especially as an only child.

The health issues are difficult, a muscle disorder and arthritis and also insomnia but I've had them for years and I'm trying not to let them rule my life.

I'm happy that I have FWFR, you guys really are friends and the only sad thing about it is that we are so spread out. :)

You're right. I definitely appreciate having a brother, and at least you know that your children have got each other.

I can empathise with how difficult this is. My brother has quite severe psoriasis with associated joint problems, and it really gets it down at times, especially when he cannot do things that other people take for granted. It must have made being pregnant (and must make lifting the children etc.) much harder than for most people.

Anyway, I hope that reading this site can lift your spirits when you are feeling down.

I'm so glad they have each other. I'm especially glad we decided to have another baby when we did because it coincided with the discovery of my son's health problems and I think she has been a real distraction and a good friend when he couldn't go out and make some for himself.

I'm so sorry that your brother suffers. Is it recent or has it been a long battle? It's hard to see someone you love in pain and discouraged.

Pregnancy was difficult, there were complications with my last and I am pretty sure I posted about it here but perhaps not, but I was on bedrest for seven months. I did a lot of FWFRing. :) This site has been a perfect distraction, and a perfect place to feel at home. Daily life is hard, there are days I can't get out of bed but I have such a great life, it will all be okay. Sometimes the kids don't understand but someday they will know I did my best.

Man I have a bad habit of being the Debbie Downer here.

Since he was born. He used to have to be greased up and wrapped in bandages like in The Singing Detective. It's not as bad now, but only because he is always on quite strong steroids and other treatments which have side effects. Anyway, he's happier with that than when the psoriasis was unchecked. When we were little, strangers would always be glaring at my mum because they thought she had let her child get horribly sunburnt.

Yes, you did mention it, but I didn't realise thaty it was so bad, so long or because of your own health - I thought it was 'just' a difficult pregnancy. Anyway, I am sure that it seems worth it now, both to have your daughter yourself and for your son's sake. I am also sure that they will be fully understanding when they are a bit older.

I hate it when people are judgmental of others like they were with your Mom...you never know what is going on. I'm glad that he has had some relief with the steroids. I hope the side effects have lessened over time.

I wasn't on bedrest because of my problems actually but problems with the baby, but being in bed for seven months made my chronic situation worse. It was so worth it, though. I have great children.
