Only one newbie this round so I added a couple of old ones that have never had the honour of being in the FYC.

semi spoiler in 3 Amigos but if you haven't seen it, wont make sense anyway. Also a comment on how the film did South of the border.

'Frags' in my Letters from Iwo Jima review could represent the fragments of the soldiers' psyches left in the letters. Or fragmentation grenades. Or it could be just a cheap joke on Japanese pronunciation. You be the judge.

Also, in A City of Sadness Hsiao-Hsien uses the Lin family to parallel events in Taiwanese history.

Even later, but even so...

Possible spoiler for Rosemary's Baby, though I believe it is common knowledge.

Late boy slips into the party

Notes, if you care:
In The Hand, Michael Caine loses his hand, and the severed claw takes on a murderous life of its own!

The Tahitian king in The Bounty is named Tynah, and when his daughter choses to leave the island with Fletcher Christian, he bawls like a newborn.

Final Cut is a documentary about director Michael Cimino's undoing of the film Heaven's Gate, and eventually United Artists studios, due to his reckless spending and monster post-Deer Hunter ego.
