FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT
Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list. Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round. Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later. Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate. You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants. The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next. |

Some of these films may be unfamiliar, but that's what I get for chasing accolades!
But never fear, The Hint Lady is here!
Ten Days That Shook The World is a documentary-like recreation about the October revolution.
Melody is about music in one of those animated education series. Veteran voice artist Bill Thompson - who also voiced Scrooge McDuck - here plays the highly educated Professor Owl. The FWFR is a pun on Doctor Who, a popular sci-fi character who keeps changing physical appearance. Oh, yeah - animal noises are represented differently in different countries. So some owls go Hoot, or To-Whit To-Woo, and others go Hoo.
Funny Girl, if anyone doesn't know, dramatizes the life of vaudeville comedienne Fanny Brice, played by Barbra Streisand, reprising the stage role that shot her to world fame.
In Tarantino's script of True Romance , Christian Slater plays a small-time drugs scammer married to a hooker named Alabama. Man On Fire is set in Mexico, and features Dakota Fanning. Seeing as it's another Tony Scott action pic you don't suppose it's a light romantic comedy of manners, do you?

The Gay Shoe Clerk is about a happy shoe clerk. He is clearly heterosexual because he kisses a woman.
Kissed is about a necrophiliac that's also an embalmer. This review is a reference to another film called A Pyromaniac's Love Story. I haven't seen the movie myself, and it doesn't look like my cup of tea. |

Hot from the oven!
I'm just saying: - The movie Red Hot takes place in the USSR during the 1950s when the KGB thought rock music was anti-communist, but Alexi keeps playing it.
- Madre Teressa stars Olivia Hussey in the title role.
- The original TV "Underdog" was voiced by Wally Cox, but Jason Lee voices him in the feature length movie by the same name.
