DA ROOLZ 1. Look at the top-rank of your SECOND PAGE. Pick ONE film you think deserves to be on your first page - as sorted by votes received.
2. Isolate that film* and present the link in this thread WITH ...
3. AN EXPLANATION OF WHY YOU LIKE IT.
Who knows, your wish may come true
* It's been covered before how to do this, but here's a step-by-step recap: 1. Go to the page featuring everyone's reviews of your chosen film. EITHER 2. From the drop-down display options choose My Reviews Only.
OR 2. Select Reviewer Name for the page display. 3. Find your own review and count which number it is on the page. 4. Up at the top url display you'll see something like this: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?sort=2&dir=2&id=1698&Mode=&Rows=1&Start=11 5. See where it says Start=11 ... change that numeral to whatever you counted in step 3, and press go. 6. Your new page should now start with your chosen review. 7. NOW, to eliminate all the other reviews still showing, go up to the url display again and see where it says Rows=100. 8. Change that to Rows=1
3. Your new page should now have only your chosen review displayed. Copy that url and use it as your link for this thread.
HAVE FUN EVERYONE!!

THE FILM The Mummy
THE REASONS I was quite proud when I thought of this FWFR: > firstly, even though I'd been on the site for just over a year, but it was the first review I thought of before I had a film to put it with. > also because the film is so iconic and most film fans would know the story, you don't really have had to see the film to get the FWFR > and third, it evokes another book/film that doesn't seem to have anything to do with the film, but when you look hard there are unexpected parallels

I'm pleased to say that this round did what Bafta wanted it to do - it got my 2nd page review on to my 1st page. Thank you to whomever it was that voted on it. |

Um, you haven't entered this round...
... uhm, neither have you ... you're both more than welcome!
BTW - I am, of course, delighted that CL got a FWFR bumped to page one, but equally important is the chance to share why people particularly like the chosen review.
I'm trying to devise another similar game to include more people. Meanwhile -- this door remains open

What a difference an "s" makes . . .
I like the "Taxi Driver" bit, 'cause it's just one letter off from the famous DeNiro quote, yet it touches on the plot this way! Bonus! |

I know - but I haven't said that this round has caused a review of mine to rise!
I'm not really sure that any of the valid ones of mine warrant a higher position. |

Ooops! I meant last round.
For this round, I give you Anastasia and note that while I used the "Czar-y" pun with another movie, this one works best because to tell the truth, Amy Irving did a pretty unconvincing job with this part, just as Ana Anderson wasn't able to convince any Romanovs that she was the real Anastasia.

Yes, that one raised a smile when I first voted on it

I love my Da Vinci Code review: "The Greatest Story Never Told."
I think it's a great pun. The only problem is I thought of it about six months after the movie left the movie theatres, so I missed out on some votes from the big wave of people checking out the reviews on the FWFR site. It already has 20 votes but I think it deserves more.

Moby Dick
When I think of a review, I try to approach it from many different angles. This review was no different. I thought of Captain Ahab as "The Terminator." The whale is a Sperm whale, and in the process of trying to terminate the whale, Captain Ahab is himself destroyed, hence my review. Maybe if I had added "The" in front of the review it would have been more conspicuous. |
