The Monster and the Critics is a famous essay by Tolkien about Beowulf. Beowulf's sword is called Hrunting.

It's well established that F.W.F.R. time is behind G.M.T. If one posts too early, one should immediately delete the thread - it's as simple as that.

Try to remember the kind of September,
When you were a tender and callow fellow...

Oh what fun to go through a host of new reviews and pick out my favorites, instead of going through a host of old reviews and.. well, you get the picture.

What it is...
Flatliners: A group of med students, including a post-Steel Magnolia Julia Roberts (but still with her original eyebrows), tamper with near death experiences.
Silence of the Lambs: My sideways nod to Holly Hunter and her new dress in "Always."
The Fantasticks: Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, I spent the summer playing piano for summer stock theatre, in a tent, in the round, with the piano on-stage. Argh. We did Godspell and The Fantasticks. The opening song is "Try to Remember."
The 40 Year Old Virgin: Expecting to hate this, we saw it over the 'tween holidays weekend and actually found this enjoyable. I laughed out loud at the "Hair" number at the end. Did Carrell actually sing it??

It is?

Well, it's been pointed out again and again and again, so I take that to be well established.

Yup, I synchronized my post above with the clock at Greenwich Mean Time and the clock said 10:22 a.m. +/- a few seconds.

I really wish I could post two links and submit 10 reviews for this round.

HINTS:
Martian Child:
An orphan has no friends and is a loaner. He thinks he's different from everybody else because he thinks he's from space.

Reversal of Fortune: Claus Von Bulow is accused of murdering his wife.

two pages already? everybody's excited about their new approvals.

4 newbies, 1 classic

looking at my offerings, i suppose i should put spoiler warnings for all 5, but you've seen "The Wicker Man (1973)," "The Usual Suspects," "Sling Blade" and "Requiem For A Dream," haven't you? and how could you have skipped "Losing Lois Lane?"
