Not that it matters much, but what Richard Harris did in Camelot couldn't really be called singing. The closest he got was more like, semi-melodically reciting lyrics.

(So far, so good!)

I'll agree with that . . . but try explaining that concept to Sinatra fans! They'll attack ya physically! Trust me, I've tried! ("It's. Up. To. You. New. York. New. York.")

Am I to understand that you are comparing the singing of Richard Harris with that of Frank Sinatra?

Hey guys, we got another one for Bellevue...

Yes, Bowie was next in the hairline.

At least they parted good friends.

In all fairness, when Frankie sang that particular song, his voice wasn't all that great - still far better than Harris', but pretty sad, in comparison with his younger days.

Assuming that these numbers you've started adding are not just random, could you please tell us whether earlier numbers are more or less severe than later ones?

Your Mighty Heart one is great (although it would be better without the last s): I voted for it ages ago when I logged on to submit something similar. I wonder why it hasn't got more votes.

I don't think that I can take it!
(cuz it took so long to bake it and I'll never have that recipe again.)

Tho it's early in the Fwiffering weekend, and many more views are yet to come, I think it's not too early/late to show appreciation for a review written as an homage to a fallen star...

Lay him down to rest with the votes he so well deserves...

I urge you to do the right thing!

For those of you who've already done your duty, I commend you... everybody else, well pony up, already!

Surely, I tend to Joker around...

Yes, but Rex Harrison had already nailed this particular performance style in MY FAIR LADY. Listen to him attempt "I've Grown Accustomed To Her Face," then dig him talking -- excuse me, "singing" -- about letting a woman into his life. It's all even preserved in the film for generations to see, until Charlton Heston finally lands in the lake.

V&V.

When I said Hello, goodbye back there I meant it. I will miss a couple of rounds. Mrs. Lemmy is dragging me off to Italy to soak up some culture. It will be a relief to get away from this Toronto winter--70cm of snow in February.

See you all in twelve days!
