Not that I'm aware of. I've checked for any and all automated tasks and there's nothing. Also, I've actually been working on the server at that time and it's performance doesn't change at all- it's just it suddenly becomes inaccessible to the outside world via a web browser

Re this connectivity problem at 4am, does your server do something like scandisk or an anti-virus scan at that time?

Weird.
OK, my next suggestion would be to check whether the regular time factor is linked to the server's clock or real time. This should tell you whether its the server or not.
