...and just like that I'm over 1300 reviews!

Poof!

Background:

- In An American Crime, which I believe was actually filmed before Juno, Ellen Page stars as a teenager who is tortured to death by her foster parents. Sadly, it's based on a true story.

- John Frankenheimer's The Train is just a terrific film with Burt Lancaster in a special-effect free physical performance that puts Harrison Ford or Bruce Willis to shame. Lancaster is a French resistance fighter trying to stop a trainload of art masterpieces (including a certain 19th century French impressionist) from being rushed back to Germany near the end of WWII.

- If you've been on this site more than a month, you probably already know that the title animals in Black Sheep are carnivores with a taste for human flesh.

I'm not sure if hash is known outside the United States. If not, know that hash is a corned beef stew eaten with eggs at breakfast time.

That's not it. A pun on Gustave's surname is not an in joke, but a reference to my surname is. There are a number of you who are privy to my moniker, so you will get it.

Five new with a vote apiece...

Notes:In Stanley Kubrick's war movie "Paths of Glory" his wife Christiane has a memorable cameo.

Christopher Lloyd plays a leprous criminal called Pieces in "Things To Do in Denver When You're Dead".

"Blinking" can be used in British slang as an intensifier, like a more polite variant of "bloody".
