Your BIRDS review is the same, bar spelling as my review for JURASSIC PARK which is obviously vastly more appropriate too, given, at least in my recollection, a distinct deficency of pterosaurs in Hitchcock's film or, indeed, his complete oeuvre.

I think Salopian's going for ptero- as a Greek prefix meaning "winged" or something along those lines. It's often used in biology.

The -saur in pterosaur gives the sense of lizardiness that would not apply to Hitchcock's film.

That said, your review for Jurassic Park seems more appropriate, and I thought so when I voted for it before.

Yes, my review just refers to wings and fear (although I was using just pter rather than the prefix ptero-), for which The Birds is overwhelmingly the film. I cannot be sure, but I provisionally disagree that your review is accurate. I was under the impression that the first film features pterosaurs either barely or not at all. Aren't they shown for the first time right at the end of one of the films, so that even if it's the first one they don't scare anyone in it?

This is what Wikipedia states: "Unlike the first movie, The Lost World also featured extinct reptiles other than dinosaurs, Pterosaurs, represented by a pair of Pteranodon."

Yes, just got a fifth newly approved review this afternoon. The only background you might need to know for this is that the Pink Floyd album "Dark Side of the Moon" was produced by Alan Parsons, but you knew that already, right? Right?

Did not know that! I thought DARK SIDE was engineered by Alan Parsons. I guess you learn something every day here in FYCTH, don't you?

V&V.

A late entry from me this round, I was hiding behind the rocks with the Pterosaurs.

Five variations of love and lust

Notes:
Bud Cort plays Harold in "Harold and Maude"
Damiel is an angel who chooses mortality in "Wings of Desire"

Why did you end your magical MERP run? We liked you as a MERP.

OH, now I see what you mean

and I also see that I still have not uncovered the identity of even a single MERP.

VV, btw.

The Castro is the gay part of San Francisco. Mister France 2003 was the very lovely Frdric Deltour. Spoiler (here and in the rightmost review) for Mister Lonely, in which Diego Luna joins a commune of deranged lookalikes: A nun falls out of an aeroplane, but is saved by her habit acting as a parachute.

Yep, several of them have not performed well, so I decided to add explanations and there was no point adding those with the original post.
