It's been ages since the last of Sal's reviews challenges; I had a look and found #7 way back in August of last year, so I thought it might be time to dust down a fun past-time with a fairly simple one to get the ball rolling again....

Your task: post links to reviews that are puns or wordplays on well-known song or album titles.

A few guidelines from Salopian's previous challenges...

Please give clear spoiler warnings if appropriate.
You are particularly encouraged to write new reviews fitting the requirement of the challenge.
Like all previous challenges, this is completely open-ended.

Enjoy!

Okey-dokey

1.

Beatles again

2. A bit of Elton John

3. A hit for so many including Louis Armstrong, The Jackson 5, The Hollies, Doris Day, Diana Ross and the Supremes

4. Originally written as a jazz ballad for Ella Fitzgerald, it became a hit for smokey-voiced Julie London in the mid-1950s. It's been recorded many times by such different vocal talents as Ray Charles, Joe Cocker and Bjork, and was on the soundtrack of V For Vendetta

These are great! Had already voted for many, though. I don't have too many puns on song titles, but here are a few that I think qualify:

Simon and Garfunkel (one of my first reviews on this site, from 5 years ago!).

And another for the same song.

Spoiler for Road to Perdition: Bobby Fuller Four (also The Clash).

Elvis Presley.

Pink Floyd.

The Counting Crows (and others, I think).

And, finally, two christmas carols.

So which one of those links would you like us to look at Whipper?

I think I'll start with these.

The Beatles sing 2046

The Clash sing 28 weeks Later

Bruce Springsteen sings AI

George Thorogood sings Black Sheep

Frank Sinatra sings Crouching Tiger

Chris Rea sings Day of the Dead

Dean Martin sings The Deep

Springsteen also sings Dodgeball

Julie Andrews sings The Happiness of the Katakuris

Meatloaf sings The Hunchback of Notre Dame

I guess this is a song, although in fact I was punning on the film title.

My Fair Lady

"Ra, Ra,..."

Title of a film that also gets sung

... Christmas

"Whatever"

Thank you for the music.

Moon

"Old"

"Goodbye"

"Goodbye"

"Do re mi"

"Wind blows"

"Like we did"

"'Cause we are livin'"

"Don't be afraid"

Frank Sinatra/Beautiful South

Oh Ricky, you're so fine.

I should think that that's alright, as long as they are easily indentifiable lyrics. I just realised I've already posted a Sound of Music one that is a lyric not a title variation...
