Weapons of mass disgusting.
An explanation about Serenity that might prove helpful:
A utopian project designed to eliminate violence instead gives rise to an ultraviolent, cannibalistic race of Reavers. |

Hm... Your Sinatra in Israel review... hmmmmm... nope. Sorry. Doesn't work for me. Yes, I know the song, but still... hm....
(But I voted on all your other reviews, and have gotten everyone so far.)

Interesting, so there would be other reviews on that page that don't work for you too then. Thanks for the votes. |

Quite a few don't work for me, actually. Perhaps it's because I know too much about what Sinatra did and didn't do for Israel and why that film was even made.
(Finished gettting everyone.)

Hmmm - needless to say in the very brief time FS and I were, shall we say intimate back in January 1965, Israel wasn't on our list of discussion topics. However, he was married to a Jewish woman when he died, and had been married to her for over 20 years. Why should he do anything for Israel? He was an Italian from New Jersey. His political affiliations changed radically over the decades. So what? What I know from personal experience is that he was a highly intelligent man, interested in politics, literature and the arts. Here's an anecdote: we went to a restaurant where, as everywhere, people gawped at him as though he were royalty, which in a sense he was. As we walked through to the private room at the back, he handed out hundred dollar bills to all the busboys and waiters. When I asked him later why, he said he never forgot where he came from. You are, of course, entitled to believe whatever you wish.
