My friend Jessie loves films but suffers from dyslexia and can't read the subtitles quickly enough, so he's always delighted when a good foreign film is remade.

I watched 'The Departed' again about a month ago and thought to myself how great remakes can be when done well. Take 'Sorcerer', 'The Magnificent Seven', 'True Lies' and 'Ghostbusters' for example.

Yeah, there's nothing like a good remake.

Take VANILLA SKY for example.

That's nothing like a good remake.

I'm a snob. To me, ANAL SLUTS 4 is strictly a verbal experience. It can never be done justice on film. When will these studio suits leave indecent literary works alone? [And where do they get off leaving out Chapter Eight, the ear-nest sequence with Shelobe?]

Is that why his name is spelt the girl's way?

This would be another context where dubbing would be acceptable -- I don't think that it validates remakes.

I believe you are confusing "Anal Sluts 4" with the far more subtle "Anal Sluts 6: In Your Endo," which takes more of a backdoor approach toward chapter adaptation.

Guys, guys ... I think I see the problem here. You are confusing this with the series Annual Sluts, the Bakshi Years. The critics' consensus is that - while not Bakshi's finest work - the animation sequences in Annual Sluts Climb Butte Mountain should definitely have won the Oscar. The remake is based on Bakshi's own re-rendering of his graphic novel and that's the one recently added to the National Film School curriculum. It's caused many a jolly tussle in the professor's coffee room, believe me!

It's true -"Analogien Sluts Fyra" is predicted to be the big Scandinavian hit next Summer.

But let's talk about this holey shit MGuyX. When did you first notice the gaps in your stools?

A "verbal" experience is essentially "oral," so it may be distasteful to cross those two media, randall. Forgive me: that may be a shitty thing to say.

Appalling: clearly, absolutely and most definitely an obvious attempt to make money.

Holey shit: life imitates art sometimes.

Just watched it. Loved it. Totally captivated from beginning to end. Pacing was perfect. Never read the book. Had no expectations, all I knew was 'vampire flick'.

Atmosphere was everything in this, and I can imagine dubbing would have done a fine job of destroying it. Arrrrggghhh!!! Fortunately NZ audiences don't tolerate dubbing so I saw the DVD subtitled, there was no English audio track.

SPOILERS BELOW!!!

I loved the way the protagonists were sufficiently endearing that I celebrated when the bullies were ripped to shreds near the end.

I was thinking of this movie a lot yesterday whilst spending 8 hours and several thousand dollars at Ikea.

I need to rent it again and watch it with subtitles only, so the dubbing won't bug me so much

Just watched it and thought it was great.
I didn't even know what the movie was about, nothing at all, I was thinking she was a ghost to start with.

I never ever watch a movie in english dubbing.

Thought the same thing, but then I was thinking that he was one that just didn't care and would do it anywhere, sort of like Anton form No Country for Old Men.

In English it will be retitled Let the Right Two or Three In.
