Lauding Wall-E's win + 1

In Mussolini: Ultimo atto Rod Steiger plays Benito Mussolini who is towards the end of WW2 trying to outrun partisans and Allied troops.

I'd like to thank my family, my agent, the Academy, the people of Azerbaijan, and Kitty O'Sullivan Krauss for making these reviews possible.

Cue Cards:

Directors Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger were known as the Archers. Tales of Hoffman is their only filmed opera and will have you either tapping your feet or your heads.

In Only the Lonely, John Candy falls for Ally Sheedy. In a brilliantly original twist, director Chris Columbus has Candy's mother, Rose, oppose and try to subvert the romance.

What Where is a film version of Samuel Beckett's last play. A recorded voice switches on, and Bam begins interrogating Bim, Bem, and Bom.

Laydeez and gennelman... I give you The Oscar Losers.

One's new, one's improved, the other's are filling up space till Slumdog gets here. Pity them for not being cheerful enough, or quite so obvious.

Got everyone so far.

(Apparently, no one seems to know that in the movie Paris Blues, the late, great Paul Newman portrayed the horn player Ram Bowen.)

I had missed the fact that Paul Newman had even died, what a shame he played so fantastic roles

Broke my heart, it did. One of my all-time favourite actors.

(And he was HOT - even when he got older, he was still HOT.)
