All's Welles

NB:
If you don't know what Rosebud is... well, there's a spoiler.
Roddy McDowall co-stars in Welles' "Macbeth".
This quote might be helpful if you're unfamiliar with Shakespeare's "Othello".

I don't usually vote for reviews with spoilers, but this time, I did.

5/5 from me!

I don't know what it is, but it's lucky that I know what film it's from or that warning wouldn't have been a lot of use...

Curious thing about that word... you don't even have to have seen Citizen Kane to know the connection. I guess that's how justly famous it is.
If you're worried Sal the review is the first of the five and with some judicious squinting can be avoided...

And many thanks Choccy for breaking your own rule. I'm glad!

Hey folks, it's been awhile! I've been super busy lately. I just started a new job and I'm also a volunteer publicity director for my home town's upcoming literary festival. I haven't had much time to fwiff (is that a word?) lately but here is a fresh batch.

Thanks BBabe Well hey, if I get a job there I could go one better and ask the creative director if we can do pro bono advertising for the site, to give me an excuse to spend hours on it every day!

Yes, but - didn't we have a member who called themselves "Calmer" as well?

(Or am I dreaming? Never mind. You still got 5/5 for this round!)

Damn... just my dyslexia acting up again. I thought it was four tributes and a spoiler for Dead Calm.
