Trying to do at least a couple every week - mainly things I've seen recently and are in my flagged list pending review. Biggest problem it seems is that a large volume of the unreviewed films deserve to be unreviewed - or better still off the site.

True, I randomly selected a page earlier and there were 16 films titled 'Mother', the earliest being made in 1910. Couldn't even be bothered to see what they were, just came straight out.

Oh, I bloody hope not! Pudovkin's 1905 Mother is one of the finest films EVER made. You didn't just block it, didja?

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Murderer! Vandal!

Get it back and get it back pronto. I mean it. I have a feeling the NFT recently screened it, but I could be wrong about that.

Oh, heffalump, how COULD you!!!!

I'm now up to 70 films reviewed.

... although I can see over 80 have been added in the last week

feeling like a little Cnut here.

I've been chipping away too, which I feel is part of my penance for adding a bunch of films to complete a few accolades and include the Toronto International Film Festival selections. Keep up the great work, we're working the pile back down to nearly 10,000!

Just keeping the thread alive

Down to 9642 films without a review, so someone out there's been very busy

Think I'll just point out that, as the most devoted outre accolade collector, I am pioneering *most* of the films I review. [Their stolid obscurity has probably affected my vote total for years, but so what?] I still believe that you should have to submit a review whenever you add a film: as old-timers will attest, this used to be the case.

As has already been pointed out, this didn't need to be a real review, though: it could be "FOR ACCOLADE" or "PLEASE ADD THIS FILM" &c. and Benj was fine with that.

If it were a requirement, anyone could submit boring reviews via a dummy profile. That is what someone is quite obviously doing with some previously unreviewed films and then disowning the reviews as soon as they are approved. Are boring reviews really in any way preferable to blank pages, especially as new visitors are far more likely to come across a random review than a blank film page?

Sparky deserves special mention for his sterling work on this accolade.

Mainly Benj: a lot of films have been deleted, though strangely still not children's sing-along videos &c.

Just bumping this back up.

Still working on the list, but hate reviewing films I've not seen, at least where possible, so only doing a couple per week now.

Still, onward and upward.

I think that's a wonderful idea.

Up until now I didn't know you could add a film without reviewing it!
