TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up

DA EVEN NEWER ROOLZ

Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.

You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.

You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted. As a courtesy to the majority of fwfrs, you may only post a link that uses the http://www.fwfr.com domain name.

Each week's TA:MOU will be removed when a new one takes its place. This is to deter re-visiting of expired threads.

Yours truly
Da Management

ON THIS DAY
we mourn the death of Bristol born film director J. Lee Thompson in 2002. A stalwart of the industry, he tackled genres as diverse as kitchen-sink dramas and action blockbusters.

Lay your fwfr wreaths to his memory.

I'm afraid I can only offer John Lee a rather meager tribute:

Cape Fear

Guns of Navarone

Mackenna's Gold

Way to Go, indeed, Lemmy - you da man!

I, however, find my Thompson barrel is empty. Sorry, JLT Unbang!

Thanks BB. I seem to have a lot of old JLT's films reviewed. I got Larry and checked out a few of yours as well since you came up short. I have a feeling we'll be hearing from demonic later at which time I'll be back.

I've got a couple. I'll try and get a few more passed and, indeed, will return.

edit:

Time raced away... so it's only two from me this week:

The Guns of Navarone

Ice Cold in Alex

I feel kinda bad what with all my reviews and so few from the other punters. I hit what I could but the pickings were slim. Not that many of mine got votes.

I sometimes only get round to voting when I'm entering the next round... not very useful admittedly given how late I often enter, but I always get there in the end.
