A Nightmare on Elm Street spawned the series Freddy's Nightmares, a series of short Freddy stories, which I presume were made for TV.

Gosh, Tori - you certainly are a wealth of information.

I've decided against the animated ones, since this will end up being bigger than I originally thought, so Lilo & Stitch is out along with all the other Disney TV run-offs. I think someone else should do an accolade for animated movies that became TV series, and they might want to include the non-animation films that also were turned into animated TV series.

Dead Zone - I've already got that one.
Fast Times - no, because they only had a pilot and it was never picked up to be a series that I can see.

Poltergeist - OK
Working Girl - Yeah, because they filmed a whole season, despite the fact that not all episodes got aired.
A League of Their Own - OK, they aired a whole half season.

And Warzonkey - Yeah, I think I'll add that Nightmare, only because it did have several seasons on TV.

Thanks and if there are more, keep them coming!

Good try, but the TV series "Doctor Who" began in 1963 and I see no movies listed prior to that year, so I'm afraid not. (I remember watching the first series on public TV as a kid! My father was crazy about it.)

As for "Friday Night Lights" - I think I'll wait until after it airs on TV, since it might not make it past the first episode/pilot and then I won't be able to consider it as a "series".

I have found several lists online by simply googling "movies made into TV shows". That way you could go through the lists yourself and decide what you want for your accolade it wouldn't take much time.
