Is there a way of finding out this figure without counting by hand? |

Sure.
You can count on your toes instead.

Badgering the witness again, Whipper?
Sal, if you hover your cursor on the "||" sign, a dialog should come up and there you should see how many reviews you have pending.
(Mine is down to 214 today.)

Thanks, C.L. Helpful as always. I have just tested and it does not seem to happen on a Mac with Camino, but I then went on a P.C. with Explorer and mine is now 292 - I have been updating some of my accolades. |

Doesn't work on all browsers though Chocky.
For example, on Mozilla Firefox nothing comes up at all and on Opera the address of the link comes up but not the number of reviews pending.
Works OK on Microsoft IE and Slimbrowser though.

While I don't want to overfreight the MERPS, I fear that letting my review languish would be suicidal, as so many brilliant competitors are out there to capture an idea. Submitting a review is the only way to assure patent registration. For all I know, 296 is a typical number. What is the high point of pending reviews that you have had?
Just to go back to this original question - how any reviews are you getting approved daily/weekly? I've got approx 40 reviews waiting, and am getting one or two looked at every 5 to 7 days. So if we say an average of 3 a week are looked at (whether approved or rejected) that would be 13 weeks for all the reviews! (saying I didn't add any more)
Is everyone else getting about the same amount looked at per week?
Anyway, all this discussion, and looking at some of my existing approved ones in the context of posting for FYCTH, has made me more determined to get quality over quantity in my reviews, and avoid the 'say what you sees' |

For a while, I was getting about five per F.Y.C.T.H. round, which was very convenient. They seem to have dried up over the last week or so, but perhaps my submissions dried up a few months back. I would say that a three-month lag is about average. My oldest unresubmitted pending review is from 30th November. |

And if you click on it you'll be taken to your review waiting room. |

Not quite zero, but when that bloody muse turns up fire him my way will ya!
Actually the truth with me is more that I have lost interest as much as can't think of any cool reviews. I did consider retiring and donating all my reviews to Mr Smithee and to be fair I may still do it.
Cheers

ah geez, Josh, don't do that!! Just take a vacation and the muse will come back!! And IF you decide to retire, please don't give Mr. Smithee any more reviews. He doesn't do enough work for himself. |

Shiv, sorry not to have responded earlier. I'm not exactly sure how many reviews of mine get addressed a week, but it's a pretty steady stream. What surprises me is that some I submit get responded to that very day, while others have remained in drydock for quite some time. Now with the 20 per week submission limit I'll have to create a holding file.

The muse WILL return. I just checked my stats page and found that I only managed 1 review for the whole of 2005, followed by 421 in 2006. |

Well, it seems I'm not king of the "unapproved" hill, but I'm in there with 135! I usually add 1 to 10 per day. I guess that means the MERPs are about two weeks behind? heh heh (actually, my oldest pending review was submitted 8/17/06!)
