For the first time in ages, and in fact the first time that I can remember, I have now got no 'recently approved' reviews. I don't mind though, as I am satisfied with the large number of approvals I've had since the cap came in. |

Just got my first ever rejection for submitting more than twenty reviews in one week. I deleted another review and resubmitted. It is now listed as being on its second pass. Benj, could you please change it so that resubmissions on this basis count as first submissions? (This is only reasonable.)
On a related matter, please could the rejected list display the number of submissions for each review? It is so frustrating to only see that one shouldn't have resubmitted when it is too late. |

Actually, you can see the number of submissions - at least on my computer you can. If you hold your cursor over the || icon at the top, you should get a box telling you how many pending reviews you have. |

Actually, this is not a feature that works when I use Opera or Firefox web browsers. |

That's sad but true. Firefox also doesn't let the HomePage Top list scroll automatically.

Yep, the hover thing does not work for me either, but I don't think you're talking about the same thing as me. I'm talking about the number of submissions for a review, not the total number of rejected reviews. (I've clarified my wording above for Benj's convenience.) |

I've found an even worse variant of my first-mentioned glitch now. I just submitted a review, corrected a mistake in it, then resubmitted it after deleting another. It now says that it is on its third pass! Amending pending reviews used to add a pass, but that has not been case for some time. When I corrected it, it obviously tried to submit it again, and added another pass. |

Delete the original, and submit a brand new one with the same words. OK, so it uses up a "life", but it will be on its first pass. |

To see the number pending with Firefox, either use the IE Tab add-on (and it can be set to automatically use the IE engine on certain sites, so you can have it automatically use IE on fwfr) or right click on the icon, click on property and under alternative text you can see the number.
Top list doesn't automatically scroll? Well, boo-hoo. IE Tab should do the trick.

Thanks, Whippersnapper! I had to go to add-ons and download the IE tab, but after that I figured it out fairly fast.
Now, can you fix downloading avatars? Every time I try to download any avatar, it tells me I have an invalid image. Actually, I guess you fixed that too, because I can use the IE tab. |

I think the avatar loading is a .jpg vs .gif thang. I thought the site took both, but it seems only to take .gif And, of course, the size has to be under 50kb
Try that! Works with Firefox, too

I use IE7 and load .jpg all the time for still pics. |

Sorry, I didn't clarify that too well. Opera browser doesn't download .gif, .jpeg, or bitmap, and the size has only to be less than 100kb, BB. |

Well, this is all very strange. Tomorrow I'm going to experiment further. Surely the site doesn't discriminate between browsers in which format and file size it accepts. I know there are meta tags that assure cross-browser behaviour, but I have no doubt that benj already uses the most effective.
Curious curiouser curiousest ...
PS thanks foxboy ... but if you recall a previous post of mine about IE7 compatibility with simultaneous use of firefox on XP -- I spent a couple of weeks on several tekkie sites being hand-held to solutions, only to have the experts agree that some systems just won't allow IE7. So I had to revert to IE6 again for testing client sites, and continue using firefox for everything else. The consensus seems to be that Microsoft developed IE7 to integrate with Vista, and then when Vista caused so many problems and the take-up wasn't as good as expected, they unhooked them and provided IE7 as a stand-alone. But, as I said, on some systems using XP theres still a problem. And it's international. And there doesn't appear to be a generic solution. YIKES! |

Nope, because there's the risk that someone will come up with the same review between now and Monday. |
