The Aviator review is a little obscure.

It refers to the scene where Hughes is defending The Outlaw against the censors who thinks he shows off Ms. Russell's 'assets' too much. He passes off meterologist Dr. Fitz (Ian Holm) as a mathematician who can prove The Outlaw doesn't show more than other films that have been approved.

I'm in, for once, with five tributes to other films.

Got everyone down to Koli.

Ali, for some reason, I can't "Vote" on yours. I have clicked on them several times, and no votes are counted. Any clues?

Lem, who is the face on your profile? Looks familiar, but can't quite put a name to him.

I think the clue is in the description ... the late, great Mel Blanc!! Who happens to be the star of my new accolade: Blanc Canvas.

Thanks for helping the idiot. I didn't even read what was beneath the pic, and now that I know who it is, that IS why he looked so familiar, but I guess I've never seen him so young.

Thanks again, Babe!

I really want to vote on people's What Would Jesus Drive? reviews but I can't find out what the film is really about. Anything to do with these guys?

Some ideas

V&V.

Thought Koli's "Turn of the sentry" was clever, considering also the year the film was made.

Shiv, your Capote review is similar to my own, though I don't know that mine would garner as many votes as yours has.

Oops. That was my 4th submission for a review that pinpointed that fact. Went for alliteration in the end. But by the time I was on the 3rd and 4th rewrite I wasn't rechecking the other reviews.

What's the protocol here?
