Titanic. I've voted for 13 of the Top 20, and I am a pretty stingy voter.
And no, I haven't voted on 'Icy dead people'
And no, I haven't voted on mine |

The Exorcist has some funny reviews, as does The Wizard of Oz (overlooking mine on the front page).
One particular topic always seems to elicit funny reviews. I think that's partly due to the shock value of reading a Jesus review. Jesus jokes shock because they are a bit forbidden. The Passion of the Christ is a good example.
I've often ranted about Kurt Cobain over the last 12 years. It really annoyed me that he killed himself, on many levels. Then when I was working night shift, the local radio station playlist had "Come As You Are" scheduled for 2:30 am. Every night. The chorus goes something to the effect of "And I swear that I don't have a gun. No I don't have a gun. No I don't have a gun." It usually ended up with my comment that he lied. On nights when I was in a foul mood, I might shout at the radio. Thus I find the reviews for Kurt & Courtney pretty amusing.

My all-time favourite fwto was Andrew's "Lied about having gun" for Kurt Cobain.
I suggested that he submit it as a review for Kurt & Courtney. It was rejected as being generic, but I think that under the new generic rules it would probably pass.
Your memory-jogging post has prompted me to submit the review again. If it gets approved I'll Smithee it (since it isn't mine) and maybe ask benj politely if he would transfer it back to Andrew, who has been dormant for so long. I think it makes a great review
Sorry to hijack the thread, RK. |

I've voted for 18 of the Top 20 on Titanic. |

Lots of great reviews in there Mr BI, but I think this one is in my all time Top 10 Fwfrs
Of course, pretty upset that you don't think "Diet: fish and ships" makes the grade |

Bit of an ill subject for me, I don't think I have voted much there. |

Wow, yeah. It is quite the crowned king. And then follow The Exorcist, The Wizard of Oz, Jaws... yes quite the evergreen stuff.

Yes, I think you're very right. In the similar example there were a lot of What Would Jesus Drive? reviews that frenzied a lot of votes. |

How about these for Boxing Helena?
It's Helena, only torso (Randall, 30 votes) Fenn and Stumpy (The Prof, 16 votes) Boxing. No gloves required (koli, 14 votes) An Affair To Dismember (rockgolf, 13 votes) Doc oversees weight loss (koli, 11 votes) Some body called Helena (Joss, 9 votes) Look - no hands! (me, 8 votes ) Helena leaves snail trail (foxy, 7 votes. Shocking review, but got my vote!) Helena can't box (Tony Clifton Esq <Mguyx in disguise?>, 5 votes) Doctor takes patient's finger-prints (Whippersnapper, 5 votes) Fenn loses joint custody (Whipper again, 2 votes including the one I just added) Sands has Venus envy (Downtown, only my vote)
There are only 75 reviews for the film, and lots to vote on
Great topic, by the way, rk. I always love a thread dedicated to hunting out other people's great reviews, we all have a natural tendancy to focus on promoting our own. |
